Agreed with you, Jon. His voice, his passion and his soul combined with incredibly beautiful melodies and lyrics deeply touched my heart. I was captured by the lifelong experience that is the magic of Ronnie James Dio. Jon, get all cushed up or sit back with coupla cold ones and check out this live 2000 performance in New York. It will blow your fucking mind and at the same time, break your heart:

Without a doubt one of the best voices in metal EVER! I'll forever be kicking myself in the ass for never seeing him perform live, I was looking forward to seeing Heaven and Hell, but he was gone too soon. Thankfully we'll always have his music.

No other artist/musician/songwriter/band have touched me as deeply or captured my heart and level of emotional investment like Dio's music and lyrics did. It's not even close.
He was TRULY one of the most distinguished and beautiful people that ever graced our world.
As you were passing through, you took me with you and though your journey has ended, you continue to live in my heart as I continue mine.
